Sealing and Maintenance

Laporsa Tile Distributors Ltd recommend that all porcelain is to be sealed after fitting, even though our polished porcelain is factory sealed, after fitting the grout which is applied to the surface contains acid, which could remove the factory seal from the surface thus leaving your tiles untreated. Sealing the tiles will maintain their appearance and make general cleaning easier and avoid any staining from coffee, shoe polish, pen marks etc.

Sealing your tiles

There are a number of products on the market from different companies, please read the labels to ensure the right product is being used for the right finish i.e polished and matt finishes. LTP & Lithofin products are recommended by Laporsa Tile Distributors Ltd.

After Care

After you tiles have been sealed, cleaning and general maintenance will be easier. Avoid using any acid based cleaners such as bleaches as these will eventually remove the sealer from the surface, there are maintenance products available from LTP, Lithofin and other suppliers.
