Sealing and Maintenance

Laporsa Tile Distributors Ltd recommend that all porcelain is to be sealed after fitting, even though our polished porcelain is factory sealed, after fitting the grout which is applied to the surface contains acid, which could remove the factory seal from the surface thus leaving your tiles untreated.

Q - Why do I need to seal the tiles?

A - Sealing the tiles will maintain their appearance and make general cleaning easier and avoid any staining from coffee, shoe polish, pen marks etc.

Q - What product should I use?

A - There are a number of products on the market from different companies, please read the labels to ensure the right product is being used for the right finish i.e polished and matt finishes. LTP & Lithofin product are recommended by Laporsa Tile Distributors Ltd.

After Care

Q - Is there any need for maintenance after fitting?

A - After you tiles have been sealed, cleaning and general maintenance will be easier. Avoid using any acid based cleaners such as bleaches as these will eventually remove the sealer from the surface, there are maintenance products available from LTP, Lithofin and other suppliers.

Deliveries

Q-Can I book a delivery date online?

A-Yes. Our Timed Delivery is one of our services, if you select timed delivery please inform us with you prefered time by either sending us an email or by calling our customer services center.

A-Delivery is available to all UK mainland addresses and Northern Ireland. Customers living in some remote rural areas should note some delivery services are either extended by 2 working days, or in some instances not available at all.
We only deliver to Scottish islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Scilly, Jersey, Guernsey and BFPO addresses if you contact us prior to your order to agree on the delivery terms. Our delivery pricing is just for UK mainland.

Q-Can I call you on the morning of delivery to confirm the delivery time?

A- No, unfortunately you can't contact us on the morning of delivery to confirm the delivery time.

Q-When will my order arrive?

A-The delivery date will depend on the delivery method chosen during check out and product's size, contact us for information.

Q-What is the cut off time for orders:

A-Last order cut off time is 12PM Monday to Friday.
Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will not be dispatched until Monday.

Q-Do we need to wait for the delivery?

A-Yes, Signature is always required, and someone must be at the delivery address to check the goods and sign for them
